Ferndale High School – November 2024

Stories & Quotes To Share:
“I feel comfortable sharing my power point presentations with my mentor.  She provides positive feedback and support. She makes me feel good,” shares a student. The mentor cannot believe how talented her mentee is and is so focused and dedicated to her project.  “I wish I could make a power point like that.” says the mentor.

Another mentor helped a student with her resume this month.  The mentee was so excited to apply for a job and appreciated her mentor’s advice on what to add to it.

Highlights:
We added new matches, now up to 36! Many more students are signing up for the program. It is fun to see the word spread around the school about this program.
We also decorated foam fall leaves with what we are thankful for. Many of the matches participated and reflected on all the good that is happening for them. Even those that are going through hard challenges had some good things to put down.
We also had a Thanksgiving Celebration in our BTO meeting room~ we had hot cocoa, cider, fruit & baked goods for the matches to enjoy the week of Thanksgiving. One of our mentees baked bread for this event and was so proud to share it with everyone.
